Before You Call for Service

  • Check your thermostat. If not set properly,
increase setting five degrees and see if heater starts.
  • Make sure all electrical switches are on. They're normally
located at the top of the basement stairs or outside the
utility room, near the oil burner, or near fuse box.
  • Check your fuse box or circuit breakers. Replace blown fuses
carefully. Do not increase the ampere rating of the fuses.
  • Check your oil tank. Be sure you have enough oil
and that the oil valve is open.
  • Check the level of boiler water on steam systems.
If low, open valve and fill boiler to proper level.
Close valve tightly when proper level is reached.
  • Press reset button control once, if everything else
is in order. If burner starts and runs only momentarily,
turn burner off and call us.
  • Please note, service calls made to correct the above
problems are not covered by this agreement and will
be charged for at the current hourly rate.
